POW/MIA Ceremony 2024

In Remembrance of those who have not yet come home or did not come home with the rest of us.  Ceremony is held at the Moore County Veterans Monument in Carthage, NC.  You are invited to attend and honor those whom we wait for their return.

Field of Honor Ceremony 2024

The Field of Honor Ceremony is for those veterans living and who have passed to include the service of our War Dogs.  The Field of Honor Flags will remain flying through Veterans Day.

Memorial Weekend Ceremony 2024

The Moore County Veterans Monument is a Memorial consisting of two black granite slabs, each 3,000 lbs, on which the names of almost 150 Moore County Veterans killed since America entered WW1, April 6th, 1917, to the present. Completing the monument, three flag poles surround the centerpiece, the sculpted figure of an eagle resting atop a smooth stone base. The black granite pedestal of the centerpiece is inscribed with the five branches of the military. The flags flown include the U.S. flag, the North Carolina flag, and Prisoner of War (POW) flag. You are invited to attend and honor those who sacrificed so much for our community and country.

Southern Pines Veterans Parade 2024

Honoring veterans from the Sandhills in a Parade and celebration of their service and sacrifice.  "All Gave Some, Some Gave All"

Breakfast will be available at the Masonic Lodge No. 484 at 230 NW Broad Street.
